Shaheen is a cinematographer with a background in architecture and design. The New York Times described his work on BUSTER’S MAL HEART as “filmed with an alienating elegance.” A fascination with space, time, light, and movement made the leap from architecture to film a natural one, and he has spent years honing his eye across departments, from camera to art to score. He also makes music under the moniker Mister Squinter.
